Error 2738 or error 2739 in Vista 64bit
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
This was such annoyingly vague error, and had such a simple fix! Just register vbscript or jscript. The problem is that it didn't fix Vista 64.
The trick is to run regsvr32 vbscript.dll (error 2738) or regsvr32 jscript.dll (error 2739) in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder. The default action will run from the system32 folder, which isn't the one that's causing the trouble.
Good luck!
