Alternative to Word

Monday, March 12, 2007We use Switch on Schoolhouse (SOS) with the older kids, but didn't want to load Microsoft Word on their (old) computers. Other than the cost, I didn't want to deal with performance issues. OpenOffice didn't work with SOS, but I did find Abiword does! It's waaay faster than OpenOffice and Word, and has all the core features for our nascent writers!
