Polarizing filter
Thursday, March 9, 2006I've had, and used, a circular polarizing filter for some time. Usually I use to to deepen sky colors in outside pictures. But recently I used it to great effect to remove glare from a window. The picture wasn't all the great, but it's a great example of how effective the filter is:
My nephews were standing behind a window a story up above the pool, and the ceiling grid reflections obscured them from view:
After using the filter, and rotating it for maximum effect, the boys are now visible through the glass:
No computer manipulation required!
