Yahoo Developer

Monday, February 13, 2006I was looking around for a way to convert addresses to latitude/longitude data for zone location, and found a treasure-trove of tools at Yahoo Developer. I don't know yet if it'll exactly meet my needs, but I do know that Yahoo has traditionally done a better job of mapping in my area, with smarter error-detection and more recent map data.

Also worth checking out are the Widgets - that might be a really useful way of providing my broadband users with anything from an address book to calendar events, in a "push" mentality, without requiring the user remember to check the website or clutter his Inbox with notification messages.
