Messiah the King

The Jews were not wrong in expecting the Messiah to be the King that would triumph over all their enemies; their timing was just off! Jesus Christ is most certainly the King of Kings and Lord of Lords:

• He is the corner stone Ps 118:22
• He is ascended on high Ps 68:18
• He has received the whole earth as His inheritance from His Father Ps 2:6-8
• He brings justice to all Is 42:1-4
• He reigns righteously Is 32:1-3
• He will hold the throne forever Is 9:6-7
• He will reign wisely, justly, and righteously Jer 23:5
• He is given dominion over all people Dan 7:13,14
• He will end all kingdoms, but His will endure Dan 2:44
• He is the ruler Mic 5:2
• He is the king Zec 9:9,10
• He bears all honor Zec 6:12,13
• He comes in holiness Mal 3:1
