The good thing about the judgment of God is that is accomplishes true repentance. It is a cleansing agent that purifies to the bone Is 4:4, leaving nothing but God to depend upon. When that time comes, God will gladly move back into His role of Protector, Guide, and Shelter Is 4:6.

Finally the ugliness of sin will be past, and the beauty of the Lord and His works will be evident to all Is 4:2. Oh, the peace, joy, and contentment that comes from God's purifying trials of fire! The process is painful, but the results are worth it all.
