The goal of a Christian's life is to glorify God, by obeying His commandments and doing His will. The commandments are laid out very clearly throughout the Scriptures, but we often struggle with the our daily decisions, trying to put them in the context of what we think God's will for us is.

1Corinthians 2 gives us some insight into how God thinks:

  1. God loves to work through our weaknesses 1Cor 2:3
  2. The power of the Spirit brings people to salvation, not persuasive reason 1Cor 2:4-5,13-14
  3. The spiritual world is more significant and important that the physical 1Cor 2:14
In any case, God's mind and thoughts are unreachable to us. We cannot imaging what He has prepared for those of us who love Him 1Cor 2:9, Is 64:4 The extent of our understanding of God is a function of our submission to the Spirit of God, for He it is that teaches us spiritual wisdom 1Cor 2:12,13, 1Jo 2:27, John 14:26
