There is a big difference in how a Christian lives, compared to that of a non-Christian. The difference stems from a transformed nature. The Holy Spirit renews our minds into conformity with service to the acceptable and perfect will of God. Rom 12:1,2

This transformation is not a one-time event, or a dramatic transfiguration like Christ's on the mount - it's an ongoing process. In order for it to work, we need to humbly Rom 12:3 accept our position in the body of Christ, and execute our role to the very best of our ability Rom 12:6,7.
