Through One

Paul spends quite a bit of time making the point that:

  1. One man, Adam, brought sin into the world, condemning us all because of one sin. Rom 5:12,14,16-19
  2. One man, Jesus, brouth salvation to the world, saving us all with his death alone. Rom 5:15,16-19
In comparing the two acts, Paul takes the time to compare different aspects of each event:
The discussion that brought this whole comparison up is that Jesus' sacrifice is one of the premier examples of His love for us, "in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Rom 5:8 It's conceivable that a person would give his life for his family, or really good friends Rom 5:7, but for his enemies?? Rom 5:10 Jesus Christ did.

This gives great hope, because while we were so unlovable, God loved us. So, now that I am His child, and in his care, does not that same love continue? This love of God is the source for growth in my life:
