Good Fruit

Three of the nine Fruit of the Spirit are quite similar:

NAS: Kindness, goodness, gentleness
KJV: Gentleness, goodness, meekness

Looking for some more meaning here:

Kindness, goodness:

• good, kind, gentle
• moral goodness, integrity
• benign, kind

Goodness

• goodness
• upright in heart and life
• good, kind

Gentleness, Meekness

• gentle, mild, meek, fair

These start with humility, and grow into a realizing of one's actual worthlessness before God (humility), and grow to an attitude of patient, loving acceptance of all the grief and trials one receives from others and God. That continues to expand to a mercifulness, out of love and gentleness, not out of possible error or weakness.
