The beginning of the greatest commandment is not love, it is the Lord our God. Sound too obvious? Let's check it out:

God - the true God
Lord - used alone or in combination with Jehovah, because the Jews held the name of God in such reverence that they were afraid of taking it too lightly
Almighty God - Shaddai most powerful Ge 17:1
Eternal God - El Olam everlasting De 33:24
Father of Lights - no shadow Jas 1:17
Heavenly Father - cares for me Mt 6:26
Holy One of Israel - Ps 71:22
I am - existence Ex 3:14
Judge - justly enforces His Law Ge 18:25
